When our government signs private deals with for-profit companies Nova Scotians are kept in the dark.

Public money should fund public services not private profit.

In Nova Scotia we're still paying for the failure of the P3 schools and in Ontario privately funded hospitals have been a disaster.

But now there's talk of using those same failed models to build hospitals in Nova Scotia.

We can proudly build and own public buildings for the public good. Private funding deals means less ownership and higher costs for Nova Scotians.

Governments like private funding schemes because they hide the real costs from voters. They obscure the true price of new buildings while costing us billions of dollars more than if they were built, managed and financed by the public sector.

We have the evidence.

We've seen the failures.

Now we need to make sure our elected leaders don't make the same mistakes again.
